Santa Cruz haben sich seit der Gründung 2007 langsam aber sicher ihren Weg gebahnt, als Vorband von AC/DC in Helsinki und Touren durch Europa und den USA. Dann kam während der USA-Tour im März 2018 das plötzliche Aus, nachdem drei von vier Bandmitgliedern via Instagram ihren Austritt verkündeten. Gründe wurden nur vage genannt, der einzige der übrig blieb war Sänger Archie Cruz. Wie es weitergeht mit der Band ist nach wie vor unklar. Die Ex-Mitglieder scheinen sich teilweise neuen Projekten zu widmen und Archie nimmt ein Soloalbum auf.
