Sie sind die Band der aktuellen Stunde: The Night Eternal. Der deutsche Hoffnungsträger im Metal-Genre. Dies ist auch nicht Metal Blade Records entgangen, die die Essener für ihr drittes Album „Cold Velvet“ unter Vertrag nahmen. Seit dem 21. August ist die neue Platte erhältlich und wird als eines der Highlights des Jahres verbucht werden. Man hat eine weitere Entwicklung im Sound vergenommen und bestätigen damit ihre internationale Konkurrenfähigkeit. Noch düsterer mit Wave- und Gothic-Vibes werden Fans von Unto Others, In Solitude (während Ihrer „Sisters„-Phase), Beastmilk oder auch The Cult gefallen an den Ruhrpottlern finden.
Aus dieser wegweisenden Scheibe haben sie zwischenzeitlich vier Videos gedreht und veröffentlich. Neben den ebenfalls sehenswerten Clips zu „Eurydice (Don´t Look Back)„, „Where This World Ends“ und „The Veins Of Time„, hebt sich „Caught In A Spell“ explizit hervor, so dass es verdientermaßen als unser Video der Woche betitelt wird. Unter der Regie von Robert Piel wurde mit dem Gastbeitrag der Ruhrpott Knights ein visueller Hingucker gefertigt.
