Mit ihrer neuesten Single „Just Be Honest“ behaupten sich Saosin weiterhin als eine der prägenden Stimmen der heutigen Rock-Szene. Entstanden aus dem Gefühl des Verrats und dem Wunsch, mit der Vergangenheit abzuschließen, verwandelt „Just Be Honest“ diesen Schmerz in Kraft – getragen von düsteren Melodien und einer eindringlichen, kraftvollen Gesangsleistung von Cove Reber.
Saosin feierten Anfang des Jahres ihre explosive Rückkehr: Sie unterschrieben bei Sumerian Records und veröffentlichten ihr Label-Debüt „Starting Over Again“. Der von den Gitarristen Beau Burchell und Phil Sgrosso produzierte und abgemischte Song markierte die erste neue Musik von Saosin seit über einem Jahrzehnt – und die erste Zusammenarbeit mit dem zurückgekehrten Sänger Cove Reber seit 14 Jahren. Komplettiert wird die Band durch Bassist Chris Sorenson und Schlagzeuger Alex Rodriguez. Neben der Veröffentlichung neuer Musik begeisterte Saosin in diesem Jahr das Publikum weltweit mit kraftvollen Live-Auftritten. Die Band tourte kürzlich durch Neuseeland, Australien und Südostasien und trat zudem beim Slam Dunk Festival in Großbritannien auf.
