Für Crowned In Crimson entstand die Zusammenarbeit aus einem gemeinsamen Gefühl heraus. Regisseur Antti Jokinen trat mit seiner Filmidee für „Son of Revenge – The Story of Kalevala“ an die Band Amorphis heran – nach einem Einblick in Bildmaterial und Drehbuch war klar: Amorphis übernehmen den Titelsong. Gitarrist Esa Holopainen beschreibt die Musik als Kraft, die Schönheit in sich trägt. Schwer genug, um Landschaften zu bewegen, und zugleich poetisch. Genau diese Verbindung aus Wucht und Mythos, inspiriert von der Welt der Kalevala, macht den Song zum perfekten musikalischen Kern des Films.
