Infos:
Nach fünf Jahren melden sich Paramore mit This Is Why, dem ersten Song des für den 10. Februar 2023 angekündigten gleichnamigen Albums, zurück. Musikalisch bleiben Paramore dem Retrosound zwar treu, entwickeln sich dennoch weiter und kehren dem 80s Synthi Sound wie es ihn auf After Laughter (2017) gab den Rücken und präsentieren mit This Is Why einen deutlich rockigeren Sound. Auch visuell hat sich einiges getan, weg vom bunten und teil glossy Style der letzten Musikvideos hin zu purem Retrocharme. Kameraführung, Color Grading und die allgemeine Ästhetik, hier schreit alles nach Turnstile und dies verwundert kaum, hat doch niemand anderes als Brendan Yates (Frontmann von Turnstile) bei diesem Video Regie geführt. Alles richtig gemacht an dieser Stelle, gerne mehr davon.
