Zwei wilde Metal-Frontsäue aus Deutschland cruisen gemeinsam ein paar Meilen durch Kalifornien – und kommen plötzlich mit so einem Song um die Ecke! Fast schon überraschend zart – man könnte meinen, die beiden hätten eine tiefgehende, inspirierende Zeit an der Westküste verbracht. Aber der Reihe nach … Wie kam das überhaupt zustande? Ein gemeinsamer Freund hatte die Idee, die beiden zusammenzubringen – wohl ahnend, dass da etwas Spannendes entstehen könnte. Klar, begegnet sind sich Mutz und Lenny Bruce Jr. in den letzten Jahren schon ein paar Mal, aber so richtig Zeit, sich als Musiker kennenzulernen? Fehlanzeige. Und wo sollte ein echtes musikalisches Aufeinandertreffen besser stattfinden als im guten alten Kalifornien? „Das waren zwei sehr inspirierende und wichtige Wochen“, erzählt Lenny Bruce Jr. „Dass daraus wirklich ein Song werden würde, haben wir damals vielleicht geahnt – aber sicher waren wir nicht.“ Mutz sei dann plötzlich „mit diesem Gitarrenlick um die Ecke gekommen“, so Lenny weiter. „Mir war sofort klar: Daraus müssen wir was machen.“ Was meint ihr?
